According to data.org, 90% of nonprofits collect data but only about half use the data to its fullest potential due to staffing.
This is where we come in - let us take this on for you! Among other things, data are useful for marketing, fundraising, and visibility of the organization. While useful for external stakeholders, data can also help organizations identify which programs and services meet the most need, which should be discontinued, and shape interactions with donors.
Our Leadership
Tiffany Parms, MPH
Hailing from Winston-Salem, NC, Tiffany Parms holds a B.S. in Biology from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Arizona. She has over 12 years of experience in program evaluation, database management, data analysis and interpretation, scientific writing, and data communications for varied audiences.
Of late, Tiffany served on the research committee of a nonprofit’s board, assisting with the institution of survey methods used to describe the impact of the organization’s flagship program, which serves marginalized populations. Year after year, the organization and its impact has continued to grow, a feat known only because of the organization’s efficient use of its data. Ever dedicated to service, she recently received multiple awards for her service to this organization and the Winston-Salem community.
Though fully aware of the importance of data given her educational background, Tiffany’s service on multiple non-profit boards further revealed a gap that she knew she could help fill. While understanding the criticality of data, many nonprofit organizations and small businesses lack sufficient staff or expertise to analyze, interpret, or otherwise utilize their existing data to its potential. On the other hand, some organizations have no infrastructure in place to collect data at all. Hence the establishment of Pomegranate Research Consultancy, LLC in July 2022.
Among other uses, data are useful to organizations for fundraising and making programmatic decisions (i.e., determining how to use funds raised). If you are ready to more efficiently use your data or launch new data systems altogether, contact us today!
